The College of Humanities and Sciences, in partnership with the VCU Cybersecurity Center, invites you to the Forensic Science Seminar featuring Evan Typanski, lead developer of Zeek (formerly Bro), the network investigation tool used by thousands of companies and organizations worldwide. Mr. Typanski will share tales from the trenches in building tools like Zeek and insights into future trends relevant to cybersecurity investigations.
Evan is a senior software engineer at Corelight, where he maintains the Zeek project. He has spent six years developing tools for security professionals, spanning network and code analysis. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Computer Science in 2020.
