In an era of increased reliance on cyberspace to conduct daily business and operations, security of our networks is paramount. The ever evolving and sophisticated cyber threat environment demands it. To remain secure, the Department of Defense and United States Army must integrate improved cyber security frameworks quickly and recruit a future workforce skilled in the art and science of defending our information technology infrastructure. Concepts like Zero Trust and Cloud based hosting environments are gaining momentum and being implemented across Corporate and Government agencies to aggressively pursue a better defense posture. Academia will be a critical enabler for the future of cybersecurity by offering education and producing talent.
