2022 Cybersecurity Career Panel

This event will feature five prominent cybersecurity professionals discussing a wide array of topics on careers in cybersecurity. Audience interaction and questions will also be answered live to the extent possible. Whether you are a student or a seasoned professional, if you are thinking about a career in cybersecurity, then this event may offer you some insight from the professionals in the field. Light refreshments will be provided for on-site attendees and a virtual webinar option will also be made available to those who cannot attend in person.

Panelists include:

Bob Austin - President, Kore Logic
During his 20+ years of experience in the information security industry, Bob has established three information security consulting practices. Bob currently serves as President of KoreLogic Inc., an cyber security consulting firm that primarily serves Fortune 500 companies and was founded in 2004. Bob is responsible for KoreLogic’s strategic direction and growth as well as delivery of consulting services.  Bob currently serves as Chair of the Virginia Cyber Security Partnership Advisory Board. Bob received his MBA from the University of Maryland.

Beth Waller - Principal and Chair, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Practice, Wood Rogers
Beth Burgin Waller is a cybersecurity and data privacy attorney who uses her considerable experience in technology to counsel clients on cybersecurity risk management, incident response, and privacy laws. As chair of the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Practice at Woods Rogers, Beth’s practice is fully devoted to cybersecurity and data privacy. Clients ranging from local government and state agencies to mid-market firms and Fortune 200 companies depend on Beth for advice and counsel. Her clients span industries such as banking, healthcare, manufacturing, high-tech, and energy. Beth’s credentials in the field are extensive. She is a certified Privacy Law Specialist by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), which is accredited by the American Bar Association. In addition, she is a Certified Information Privacy Professional with expertise in both U.S. and European law (CIPP/US & CIPP/E) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), also from the IAPP.
