U.S. manufacturers are magnets for cyber criminals and nation-state adversaries. How can manufacturing infrastructures ward off threats while staying nimble and competitive?

Delve into this topic in a 45-minute seminar with Wayne Austad, M.S., chief technology officer for the National & Homeland Security Directorate of the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and INL’s chief R&D officer for the Cybersecurity Manufacturing Innovation Institute (CyManII). Austad will discuss how CyManII is making U.S. advanced manufacturing more resilient against the nation’s adversaries. Led by the University of Texas at San Antonio, CyManII brings together the expertise of three U.S. Department of Energy national labs and 24 powerhouse universities. Their goal? To usher in the next era in cybersecurity for smart and energy-efficient manufacturing, supply chains, factory automation and workforce development.

Austad will also discuss the wide range of internship opportunities this initiative offers. As INL and CyManII interns, students can gain world-class experience remotely, without leaving home.
